SBG6580 or Nighthawk AC1900 C7000
Hi I have a Motorola SBG6580. (from 2010) My download speed is 80mbs and upload speed is 10mb from Comcast or Xfinity. It is working fine. So why would I need to get a new one? What would be a good r...

I personally do NOT like combo units aka Gateways as what you say you have. For all setups I do, I use a "plain jane" cable modem (SB61xx) and take the single output to a router like Nighthawk, etc. It's easier for me to troubleshoot problems when dealing with individual devices that are purposed to do what they do best without sharing resources like in gateways.
However, if you are happy with your current speeds and WiFi, then no need to upgrade just because newer stuff exists! If however you wanted say 400Mb/s service but your equipemnt maxes out at 160Mb/s, then good reason to upgrade.
