service provider is recommending to see if all settings on modem are up to date due to inconsisten

Internet is going in and out, service provider asking I have moem errors cleared out and make sure settings are up to date. i have reset modem, unplugged and pluged back in. not sure what to do next?

    get a screen snip of the cable connections page (shows upstream/downstream values) and the event logs. 

    That helps us check your cable connections. 

    If you have any splitters, amplifiers, or signal attenuators in the line, i'd recommend removing them.
