Setting up two R7000 in bridge mode (1. connects the 2. to the internet and all devices use 2.!)
Hi,
I am having troubles with finding my NAS drives via Wifi.
Since I moved my NAS drives to the location of my second router and connect the first router to the internet and all my mobile devices and laptops, I am having troubles connecting to my NAS drives. Sometimes it works but most often it does not.
I have set up the first router as "router mode" and the second router als "bridge mode".
Can I change the setup, so that my second router is connected to the NAS drives and also works as my router for the mobile devices and laptops? Then the first router would just connect to the internet and transfer it via bridge to the second router.
I tried this, but it does not seem to work...
Regards
Michael
Just to close this topic: Got the solution working by using a Netgear powerline set. It provides internet access to my router located ad the TV and works flawlessly. Wireless AC is not the answer to everything, I realize ;-)
Thanks for the discussion anyway.

Network Attached Storage. Harddrives with video and music on them to share over wifi.
