Simple question
Managed to stumble through the setup for this new router and all is working well. This may be a dumb question but when I look at the available wireless connections on my PC I have several. There is a...

I found what I needed and it is in the Genie BUT it's a vertical tab that is kinda obscure. That did the trick. Thanks for the help guys!

Mine is older and been updated many time and I also set my SSID's which it appears you did not and are using some sort of default.
The R7000 had up to 4 SSID's. Two are 2.4Ghz and 2 are 5Ghz. The 5G's you reference are the 2 higher Ghz it would seem. Each band, the 2.4 and 5Ghz have different performance, speeds, and distance characteristic. Each can service a variety of devices but the 5Ghz devices (AC Speed, if you have them) can connect to either SSID band but gets the best performance from the 5Ghzz band. A 2.4Ghz device (N Speed or lower) can only connect to the 2.4Ghz band.
The R7000 also has dupicated bands for GUESTS that can either be isolated from or allowed to access LAN devices.
You should open up a BROWSER and log on to your ROUTER and look at the WIRELESS Setup, it will clarify the SSID's you are seeing.
Usual DEFAULT IP Address for the router is 192.168.1.1 and the UserID is admin and P/W is password. Give it a try.

Thank you for the reply and explanation. If I use the Genie to change the router name will it also change these "other" names?

rwsinky, no almost all items you can change and are independent. One doesn't effect the others. See the HELP (up triangle in the black bar centered below the window) for more info.
Also there are many FAQ's in Support you might want to review:

You should locate the model number, for example R8000, then go to support, download and save a copy of the manual.
