SSD access to R7000 question

I have tried to add an external ssd to my router without any succes. This was confirmed by another discussion of this forum.

My question is: will it be possible to add a internal SSD (250Gb) combined with a usb adapter like the [Sabrent USB 3.1 (Typ-A), um SSD / 2,5-Zoll-SATA-Festplatte Adapter [Optimiert für SSD, Unterstützt UASP SATA III] (EC-SS31)] to the R7000. I' am a newbe so before bying I like to be informed about  this issue.

We have not tested this kind of setup but it is possible. However, the requirement for the USB drive that is self-powered must use less than 750mA of power.
