Hi, finaly i made it back and sorry I didnt reply yet, losts of snow out here.
I followed all your steps and at some point Im confused. I wait your responce and hope I did it right this time?
- Remove R7000 from your network
- done
- Turn it on
- done
- Wait for all the lights to settle down
- done
- Optional step factory reset R7000
- done
- Connect PC to LAN port on R7000 and nothing else (it might help to disable wifi)
- Done. Connected my pc to LAN port 1 (Default Wifi not disable atm)
- Go to 192.168.1.1
- done
- After factory reset the setup wizard may kick in here, you'll just have to persevere through those daft questions
- done
- When the browser interface comes up
- Advanced
- Advanced Setup
- Router / AP / Bridge mode
- I am confused here cause selecting Repeater modes gives me a new screen with an option like Wireless repeat function. Do I t start following the other link nowo or do I only click Apply?
- Follow the prompts and warnings
- Apply
- Wait for R7000 to reboot
- Plug R7000 LAN port into router LAN port

To add to what michaelkenward said, I like to set a static IP address on the AP. That way you know rather then trying to figure out what the IP address is if you want to manage the AP. I normally used 192.168.1.2. Just make sure when doing this that you add the net mask, normally 255.255.255.0 and for gateway use the router's IP address. Of course this would be different if the router is on another IP address range, but the principle is the same.

Thakns for you responde and sorry I didnt mention it, it has a static IPadress and has the same subnetmask ofc :)
Ziggo using 198.168.178.xx on its new modems.
