This NETGEAR device is already registered to another account
I am getting the following message when trying to enable remote management:
This NETGEAR device is already registered to another account
This device was purchased used. How can I connect device to my account?

- It works! The last step I was missing was rebooting the router.
Hope someone finds this helpful.

- Ixler8TutorI think I have resolved the issue. The previous owner needed to deactivate the device from their NETGEAR account via the web. I would be reluctant to buy from secondary market unless you are familiar with previous owner.
- Ixler8TutorSo this only resolved half of my issue. Now the router shows up under my profile at my NETGEAR account. However it will not let me turn on Remote Management and I am getting the same error message. Evidently this can only can be resolved by NETGEAR tech support?
