Bought this router used. This serial number is already registered to another customer. Please email NETGEAR support Customer.service@netgear.com for help.
Email sent. Cannot update the router without logging into the account. Speed testing is half the speed of Att router. I'm assuming updating will fix this.
I've emailed support, is there anyting else that can be done to resolve this issue?

Registering is to get help with support/warranty issues.
You should still be able to log in manually to the router to update it.

Not saying that'll fix your issues.
Att tends to supply modem/router combo devices for their service. you could be having a double nat issue.

Step 8 : Enter the router admin user name and password.
The default user name is admin. The password is the one you specified the first time you logged in. The user name and password are case-sensitive.
Already set up and don't have the information to log on.
Will try fixing the double NAT once the router is updated

Already set up and don't have the information to log on.-----That's why I'd say factory reset. it gets you back to the defaults so you can log in and change them. Then update.
