Trouble Setting up my Nighthawk ot run 500 Mbps

  I just was upgraded to 500Mbps and all I can get is 250Mbps on my Nighthawk. The documentation for the Nighthawk says it can reach download speeds of 2300Mbps so I thoght I was good to go. The sercive man said its is my euipment after confrming the modem was at 550MBPS, and then he left.

   I am not an IT wiz, but read several aricles saying I can make some changes on my Nighthawk router.  When I try to log on to the router using routerlogin.net (whch sue to work) it goes to a Netgear page and tells me I am not connected.

I lg in to my Netgear account,  verify 10 times I am not a robot and then it goes back to the original page telling me I am not conncted to the Nighthawk but my Genie App on my phone says I am.

Can I  get into routerlogin and can the 2300 be set up to download at 500Mbps?

And if so, how?
