Turning Nighthawk AC1900 Smart WiFi Router (R7000) into wifi extender
Curious to see how you turn this specific Router into an extender? I followed the steps I found here: https://kb.netgear.com/24108/How-do-I-enable-the-extender-mode-feature-on-my-Nighthawk-router
This does not seem to work, any suggestions or steps would be appreciated. Thank you!

Ah ok, so its not possible with this specific router? I'm new to this so any detail is appreciated.

The R7000 used to support wireless repeating function. It was removed with firmware but I'm not sure exactly what firmware it was removed from. You can go through the release notes if you really want to use it as such.
Or you could check out running either a powerline device, moca adapter, or ethernet and using it in AP mode (access point)

Though this model router doesn't support a actual "Extender" mode, it does support wireless Repeater mode:
