Unable to access Nighthawk Admin from WWW

I have a Nighthawk WIfi Router that is sitting behind a Spectrum Arris TM1602 broadband modem.

I am able to access the browser based admin from within my lan but wish to access the admin from outside the house.  I have multiple port forwards for different devices and I can confirm I can access those services from outside (just to confirm that there is nothing magic happening with the Arris Modem blocking inbound requests.

The only controls that are obviously related about managing remotely is the "always use HTTPS to Access Router" (which I have checked).

Attempting to access the admin I followed the very brief instructions that are embedded in the Help Center of the admin http://my.public.ip.address:8080.  I get no response.  Further I do not have any port forwarding that would clobber the 8080.

So what model# is this router? R or RAX?

Does HTTP or HTTPS and 192.168.1.1 work in any browser?

Try a different PC or laptop to compare?

If all else fails, a factory reset maybe needed.

      Its an MR50.

10.0.0.1 is the routers IP address from my LAN.  Using both Chrome and safari I can login.  I have tried both a mac and an iphone to test from an external perspective.  As mentioned externally I am able to access other services I did port forwarding with (one at least has a web UI and functions fine, other forwards include SSH and MOSH and both those work fine too.

      Thanks

I believe NG removed any kind of remote management access from all routers. Only mobile apps like Nighthawk app can access routers from the WAN side.

Is this a mobile cell phone router? MR50 is not a valid model#.
