I have an Intel chipset radio in one of my laptops. It has a setting - VHT - which allowed me to connect at 867 Mbps. Hopefully, your wireless card has a setting similar to VHT. You may have to go through every setting for your card. Change a setting, do some testing. And, or, try a different card.

I brought my router up next to my computer just to see what that does for it, and I'm getting 866 now as well. But it's still listed as an 802.11n connection. I guess it's just lying? I'll just need to get a few better antennas I guess.
