Unable to Set Up Nighthawk AC2300

For whatever reason I an unable to set up this router. I have cleared cache and cookies. I have tried multiple browsers. I have tried www.routerlogin.com and .net. I have tried 192.168.1.1 and all of them ask me to put the serial number in to reset the password which I have done 5 times now but every site goes back to wanting to reset the password and never lets me into the routers interface. Not sure what else to do at this point since it never lets me in. I can't set up my internet at home for work.

    You have the R7000P?

    Do you have it connected to a modem/gateway? 

    If so, disconnect it. 

    Also, try setting it up using a hardwired connection and make sure to be plugging into a lan port and not a wan port. 

    Another thing to check is make sure you don't have a vpn on. 

    Or using a virus protection (i've seen someones bitdefender cause issues)

    Another question, does it ask you the login password info at all?
