Unable to use my Nighthawk router as a wireless repeater

I would like to use my Nighthawk router as a wifi repeater. According to a bunch of resources I looked up, Netgear routers usually have a wifi repeater mode. Mine however, does not. It only has Router mode, Access Point mode, and Bridge mode. My Router's firmware is V1.2.0.42_1.0.1. Is there any way I can enable a Repeater mode that I am not seeing? Thanks.

  • I thought I put the model number in the first post, but seemingly I did not. That is my mistake. It is a R6700v2. I did notice another post while doing more research on these forums about my model in the meantime, and it seems as though you cannot enable repeating in this model. The posts I was reading earlier were for a different model which I mistook as my model.

As a side note, for someone who spends a lot of time on these support forums, you sure take a very pompous and rude attitude for helping people. Considering many may not have the technical know-how you have. But thanks anyway.

Does your "my Nighthawk router" have a model number?  Look at the
    product label.

       Thanks for the helpful links.

"usually" and "always" are spelled differently for a reason.

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your (actual) model number,
and look for Documentation.  Get the User Manual.  Look for "repeater".

Possibly interesting: Try that again for a model like, say, "R7000".

If you can't find the option you seek in the user interface or the
User Manual for your (actual) model, then it would appear that "usually"
    is not good enough.
