Upgrade Existing Nighthawk R7000 using CFG file

Hello All

I currently use a Nighthawk R7000 router and am looking to upgrade to a more recent version of the nighthawk series but I am unable to find wether or not the newer netgear routers can be loaded with an older router .cfg backup file.

Anyone done this & is it possible?

Alternatively, can the new router "grab" the old router settings somehow?

    No. The config files are specific & tied to the router model. They are not transferrable due to SDK and hardware/platform differences.

    Take screenshots of your settings and follow them while setting up the new router.
