What's the latest firmware version?
Seeing two different FW versions for my router. My current FW version is 1.3.1.44_10.1.23.
When I check for update, the NetGear app on my system reports 1.3.1.64_10.1.36.
When I check the download from the NetGear site, it reports 1.3.2.126_10.1.66.
Which is it?
Thanks in advance.
The NG site is correct. NETGEAR is usually slow in adding new firmware versions to its download site
Also, I advice not to use apps to upgrade firmware and also don't use WiFi. Use a wired connection for firmware updates. Too many people brick their routers updating with app and over WiFi

Oh so true.
Here's the official line on the best way to update firmware:

It isn't that complicated, so don't be put off.
Read the release notes for the version you plan to install. Unlike using the app, this will also tell you what the new firmware is designed to do.

Thanks for the quick response, michael.
And thanks for the "howto" link.
I've actually done an update on this router before, but was concerned re the diff of FW versions.
I have the auto update enabled, but it doesn't appear to work.
I'll take a shot at the update in a bit. Busy doin stuff now. Can't break the connection just yet.
I'll follow up later.

Thanks for the quick response, micro.
I appreciate the caution re updatiing via wifi. I am aware of that, but it's worth repeating for anyone who reads this discussion. Use a freakin' cable.
