Wireless router R9000 setup without modem
How can I set the router without Internet connection? I don't want an internet connection and do not have one.

It's Netgear's "iPhone app", not mine (and Netgear may have more than
one, as the User Manual says), but I'd try the web-browser interface.
Look for "Use a Web Browser to Access the Router" in the User Manual.

checks to see if your router can connect to your Internet service.
I assume that there's a way to skip that step (or wait for it to fail).
(If not, then you might need to take the thing somewhere where you can
connect it to something long enough to get it past that step.)

What does "set the router" mean to you? Set up (configure) the
router?
Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation. Get the User Manual. Read. Ignore the parts about
connecting to the Internet.

I will try the web browser again ... I did access the router that way but was also stuck on the need for an Internet connection, but do not remember if there was anything that could serve as a workaround.
