Question

Hello everyoneThanks for your time to read into this post and kindly pitch-in with your suggestions/recommendations/solutions to my query.&nbsp;I need to connect my X4S (R7800) router to Fibrenet service with ONT (Optical terminal input only).&nbsp;Please suggest possible ways to do. Does ONT-Ethernet converter work ? Will there be Speed drop, Connectivity, Signal Lag/Jitter issues ?&nbsp;Thanks.

Your ONT has a manufacturer's name and model number.&nbsp; That information would be very helpful.&nbsp; Also so would the name of your ISP and the capacity plan you are paying for.

If so this is a combined ONT/router.
&nbsp;
You don't need any adapters. You&nbsp;just need to work&nbsp;out how to configure things.

You will have two routers n your network.

What are you trying to accomplish with your R7800 that you cannot do with your ONT?&nbsp;If you were to connect the R7800 to the ONT, physically how far apart would they be located?&nbsp; Less than a meter?&nbsp; Greater than 10 meters?

Excellent question.

Which features are on the R7800 that aren't on the ONT/router?&nbsp;After all, the R7800 has not, thankfully, gone down the Circle./Armor road. But it does have Anywhere Access that may, or may not, be on the ONT.
