Powerline PLW1000 WiFi Network crash when two specific devices are connected
good morning,
I purchased the PLW-1000 powerline + Wifi to extend the network in a basement and connect two smart security cameras. If just one among the 2 cameras + PC + Phones are connected to WiFi everything works perfectly; once I plug and turn on the other camera (independently if is the #1 or #2) the network crashes for all the devices including PC and phones. The only way to recover is unplug one camera.
Cameras have distinct MAC, IP, name... and they work jointly if connected with the upper floor WiFi, not an issue of the cameras using @2,4Ghz WiFi
I tried to play with all the available configurations in the Powerline including channels, speed, WPA modes, firmware upgrades, no one resolved the issue.
kindly let me know how I can support you in retrieving logs and help you to support this product
many thanks
Felice

hello,
I did some extensive testing this evening and the issue is definitely on the WiFi access point device that starts crashing/rebooting again and again from the moment I connect two security cameras. One WiFi camera works with PC, Phone etc connected to the WiFi, no matter which camera I use - two WiFi cameras of the same model/vendor with distinct names/MAC/IP etc... induce the WiFi device of the powerline to crash and reboot continuously one are both connected.
I say is the WiFi device because the other device of the powerline can be disconnected from the wall socket - Pick A Plug led OFF on the WiFi one - then an ethernet cable can be connected to the WiFI device which acts as an access point for the wireless devices. Again any WiFi camera works perfectly, and once I connect both cameras the WiFi device of the powerline never ends crashing and rebooting.
Once the crash happens first the Pick A Plug led turns OFF, then after a few seconds is the WiFi led to turn OFF... in about a minute the device reboots and the process restarts. by using the WiFi device as an access point the Pick A Plug led is already OFF, after a while the WiFi led turns off and the device restarts, same duration.
thanks a lot
Felice
