Access Control Shows Device Both Connected & Not Connected

My RS300 Router's Access Control shows many devices that are connected and working properly as also listed as being allowed but disconnected!   How can this be?  If I remove the device from the "allowed but disconnected" section it then appears in the connected section as "BLOCKED".

Is there a fix for this?  It's obviously a bug in the router software or the firmware.

Firmware Version:

1.2.7.2

Thanks,

Jerry

  • Hi,

I posted a problem with the router's access control page that lists the same devices in both the allowed and online section and the allowed not online section.  I received a private message from someone at Netgear and I responded with screenshots and more information. This was last week and the person disappeared from the conversation.  You've got a bug in the router that another person also confirmed.  Please look into this.

    Thanks,

    Jerry

Good to hear that Netgear is aware of the issue.  I look forward to them fixing it.

  • Hi jerrygerber

I have sent you a private message. Please kindly check it when you have a moment.

  • Having exactly the same problem. Same setup. All of the devices that are in the connected list also show up in the list of allowed devices not currently connected to the network. Two are wired, two are unwired. Deleting an entry from the not currently connected list also deletes it from attached devices. All have the same MAC address in both lists, and all have reserved IP addresses in the address reservation table. This certainly seems like some kind of bug.

  • These devices have exactly the same MAC address in both tables?

Yep.  Exact same MAC addresses.  It's clearly a bug.  Do any Netgear engineers monitor this forum?

  • Additional Information:  I am running Windows 11.  Several devices are connected via wireless and the main computer is connected to the router via Ethernet.
