Amber light - is it a problem? a 100/10Mbps

The amber light is telling you the speed of the connection to the device plugged into that socket.
Move the device from port to port and the colour will change.
The manual explains what is happening.

Have you looked at the specifications for the LAN connection on the OOMA phone?
Many devices are designed for 100 Mbps. Even smart TVs happily work at that speed. For a phone, 100 Mbps is more than enough speed.
