Does 6GHz channel interfere with 5GHz channels on an RS700?
I have two RS700 routers, both on firmware 1.0.7.86, with the second in AP mode. On the main one, I have the 5GHz channel set to 36 (since I noticed the neighbors are around channel 40), and the 6GHz is set to 37 (PSC). On the secondary one, the 5GHz channel is set to channel 149 with the 6GHz channel set to 217 (PSC). Every now and then, I noticed on the primary router, the 5GHz wifi channel shifts from 36 to a different one even though Auto isn't enabled. For example, it moved over to 100 today, which is a DFS channel. This shift never happens to the secondary router. From what I understand, routers are supposed to move from DFS channels to non-DFS channels if they detect a radar in the area. Does this apply the other way around as well, or could it possibly be some interference from most of my 5GHz devices connecting to the main router?
When the operation mode is set to "Up to 5.8Gbps", the router operates with 160MHz channel bandwidth. So if channel 36 is selected in this case, channel 36 ~ channel 64 are used for the 160MHz bandwidth, and channel 52 ~ 64 (U-NII-2A) are DFS channels. Then when the router detects radar signals in around those channels, it may switch to other channels.

Thank you for the explanation! Never realized this myself, but it's pretty easy to tell that this is exactly what's happening if you check the Channel under Advanced > Wireless Settings (5GHz). Think I'll lower it to "up to 2.9 Gbps" (80 MHz) so the overlap only goes from channels 36 through 48.
