Guest Network SSID Not Appearing

I've been trying to set up the guest network 2.4 on my BE9200 (RS280) using WPA2. The process completes and the App shows the network up and running, but it does not appear on any of my devices. If I enter the SSID and password, it still does not appear. Any ideas? Thanks

    Any progress on this?

I haven't gotten a chance to try it with the web interface. The network has been relatively stable since I removed some devices. I don't want to press my luck but will get to it eventually. Every reboot creates a new adventure. Thanks

Is IPv6 or Protection Engine enabled on the RS router?

  • I have the exact same problem. I enabled all of the settings for the guest network and it will not broadcast the SSID. I called Netgear support and they told me I would have to buy a Netgear armor package in order for them to help me. They KNOW their nighthawk router/modem has problem with the guest network turning on and they want customers to pay for help. They put out a garbage product with issues and instead of fixing them they want customers to pay for their product to work even though the guest network should work out of the box. Unfetter greed and a lack of empathy for customers struggling with their terrible products.
