internet dropped out of nowhere
Had the same issue with my RS700S recently — internet dropped out of nowhere. Modem was fine when connected directly to PC. What worked for me:
Power cycle modem + router (turn both off, wait a few mins, modem on first, then router).
Made sure Ethernet was in the WAN port, not LAN.
Cloned my PC’s MAC address in the router settings — some ISPs lock to a specific MAC.
Double-checked the router was set to Dynamic IP (DHCP) and not PPPoE.

Did the internet LED on the front of the router turn AMBER when this happened?
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.Which ISP are you connected with?
Are you using auto detected ISP DNS or custom DNS for IPv4?
Do you have IPv6 enabled on the router?
Check with the ISP to see if they require any MAC Cloning before using that option.
