Internet LED Behavior - RS700
The Internet LED on my new RS700 is always solid white in normal operation, it never blinks. The manual says it should blink when there is internet traffic. I talked with support and the tech assured...

The behavior of the Internet LED is now as expected after I upgraded my RS700 to the latest firmware version 1.0.9.6. The LED now blinks white when connected successfully to the internet and traffic is present. Thanks for this FW update which also fixed a number of other issues. Here is a link to the update: New - RS700S Firmware Version 1.0.9.6 Released | NETGEAR Communities for those who may be interested.

My RS600 Internet LED blinks for me.
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.

My firmware version is V1.0.7.96_2.0.96. My cable modem shows internet activity and with my very old and now replaced router the internet LED did blink. I have good cables.
The Netgear tech support fellow I talked with about this was adamant that the "always solid" internet LED behavior was normal for the RS700.
I very much appreciate your feedback, but I really want to hear from RS700 owners about how the internet LED behaves on their routers.
Thanks!

Read the complete description:
Internet LED
Solid white: The Internet connection is ready.
Solid amber: A cable was plugged into the port, but the Internet connection is
not yet ready.
Blinking amber: The port is sending or receiving traffic.
Off: No Ethernet cable is connected between the router and the modemThis is what I am asking about. I never see the Internet LED "blinking amber" even though there is internet traffic. I called Netgear again last night and spoke with a different representative than before. After some confusion, the rep said the documentation is not correct in the RS700 manual. If so, this is a change from earlier RS models like your RS600. This is why I'm asking for an actual RS700 owner to weigh in on my question.
Thanks again for your thoughts!

Probably due to link speed at between the RS router and the WAN port on the ISP modem/ONT.
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
So checking my RS600, Connected WAN port to a 1Gb and 2.5Gb connection rated sources, both show WHITE LED and blinking every so often. Ran a speed test for each connection rate and Internet LED blinks WHITE.
