That sounds good, but since the link is not connected at all with Netgear, I don't feel good installing anything that doesn't come directly from Netgear servers.

Anything that comes from the NG Experts can be trusted. Sometimes they need to use external or public accessble storage so users can access special builds or files. These don't necessarily require using NG specific servers as there maybe security reason not too or Experts can not use NG servers.
