Recently purchased a RS600 router. Followed the instructions that came in the box with the router. And still unable to get the internet. I connected the computer to the modem and could get the internet, but when connected to the router, no internet. Using the nighthawk app, doing the startup check, it says the cable is connected, but no internet connection. I did this several times with no success. And how can use the routerlogin sit to manually log in if I cannot create/join the network?26Views0likes4CommentsRS600 latest version, 1.0.6.16 IoT network works like a Guest Network
Well, I got all excited about the new IoT network capabilities in 1.0.6.16. I moved a couple of devices to the new IoT network, and they connected to the internet. Then connected my phone to the IoT network. It also connected to the internet but could not connect to the devices. Works no different than a guest network. Then switched everything back and working fine. What a waste of time and emotion.665Views0likes35CommentsNighthawk RS600 Dev list blank
I recently purchased a Nighthawk RS600. Everything seemed to work fine for a short time. Then the list of attached devices was blank. I restarted the router and that fixed the problem... for ONE DAY! 2 days ago, I updated my firmware to V1.0.6.16 and the device list was back. 2 days later, however, nothing. Is Netgear planning to put out a new FW to fix this problem? If so, when will it be available?? I can't keep re-starting the router only to have it fail the next day. And a factory reset is out of the question. I'd be setting up the router from scratch on a daily basis. That is NOT a solution. Considering the cost of this router, it shouldn't be plagued by something as trivial as this. If anyone has a real fix for this issue, please let me know. Otherwise, I guess I'll just have to wait for Netgear to put out a new FW which will hopefully include a fix for this problem. Thanks.77Views0likes3CommentsRS600 BE17000 vs BE18000
I'm struggling to understand what version of the RS600 is out there for the US. All I can see on my RS600 is "RS600". Nothing stating what the BE version is, and the firmware has no reference to anything other than RS600 as well. Online I see just the BE18000 version posted. If I download the User Manual, it's a RS600 BE17000 manual updated in July of 2025. This manual does not contain any reference to the QoS page of the firmware (Home/Quality of Service). This feature is either something that's never been documented or is a feature of the current firmware, V1.05.22. Is there a User Manual supporting the current version???585Views0likes10CommentsBE17000 as a bridge
Hello: I am trying to use the BE17000 as a bridge. I want to take in tri-band wireless signals from another BE router and break them back out to cables. Does anyone have an idea on how to do this. I have tried and failed. Everything I find even on here talks about pages my firmware (V1.0.5.22) does not have. The only page that I have talking about a bridge is ADVANCED>Advanced Setup>VLAN/Bridge Settings. I have the Bridge group defined but I can't figure out what to do next. Any help anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance JSyversonSolved309Views0likes3CommentsWhen I have all devices dropping off the internet this is a major problem
I am experiencing the same issue for the past few weeks. This is a router/firmware issue that Netgear needs to resolved urgently. When I have all devices dropping off the internet this is a major problem. I did not experience this on the previous version or any previous router. Happy for Netgear to supply me an alternative router that works.371Views0likes12CommentsRS600 new firmware issues 1.0.5.22
Downloaded and installed latest FW release 1.0.5.22, and now experiencing issues with internet dropping out for about 30 seconds every 10-15 minutes. This was most prevalent on the ethernet side, but noticed it happens as well on the wireless side simultaneously. Anyone experiencing this? Had to revert back to previous firmware in order to correct the problem. Nothing else was changed.518Views0likes13CommentsRS700 pinging Google DND every 4-5 secs on AP Mode
I am currently using my RS700S in AP mode behind a pfSense firewall. I noticed the router is pinging 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 every 4-5 secs showing up in block alerts, more of nuisance than anything with it flooding the logs rather than any connectivity. I assume it's trying to check for an internet connection, but there needs to be a way to block/stop the RS700S when in AP mode. I assume this is not just the RS700 but other models probably doing the same as a lot of them share similar core firmware.772Views0likes10Comments
