20 TopicsWhen I have all devices dropping off the internet this is a major problem
I am experiencing the same issue for the past few weeks. This is a router/firmware issue that Netgear needs to resolved urgently. When I have all devices dropping off the internet this is a major problem. I did not experience this on the previous version or any previous router. Happy for Netgear to supply me an alternative router that works.19Views0likes2CommentsRS600 new firmware issues 1.0.5.22
Downloaded and installed latest FW release 1.0.5.22, and now experiencing issues with internet dropping out for about 30 seconds every 10-15 minutes. This was most prevalent on the ethernet side, but noticed it happens as well on the wireless side simultaneously. Anyone experiencing this? Had to revert back to previous firmware in order to correct the problem. Nothing else was changed.117Views0likes9CommentsRS700 pinging Google DND every 4-5 secs on AP Mode
I am currently using my RS700S in AP mode behind a pfSense firewall. I noticed the router is pinging 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 every 4-5 secs showing up in block alerts, more of nuisance than anything with it flooding the logs rather than any connectivity. I assume it's trying to check for an internet connection, but there needs to be a way to block/stop the RS700S when in AP mode. I assume this is not just the RS700 but other models probably doing the same as a lot of them share similar core firmware.107Views0likes10CommentsNOTICE - NEW RS Series model Firmware Updates Released (10-2025)

I own the RS 600 and it is completely unusable in my basement office. My phone always connects to the 6hz network. It shows a strong connection, but my teams calls always end up dropping. Yes, I could break each frequency into its own network, but that defeats the value proposition of the entire router. Just give us a way to disable 6hz or implement MLO.... Please!!!Solved177Views0likes7CommentsAccess Control - Nighthawk RS600 "Whack-a-mole"
Router Firmware Version V1.0.5.12 I am using a Nighthawk RS600 along with a BE5000 (version EXS27 firmware v1.0.1.34) WiFi Extender. The issue that I am running into is that when I turn on Access Control > Block all new devices from connecting, a number of devices that I have set to allowed automatically switch back to Blocked. Example: Wireless TV and Xbox One are currently set to 'Allowed'. The Extender is listed as 'blocked'. In Access Control, I set the Extender to 'Allowed'. Upon applying this new setting, the status of the Wireless TV and Xbox One automatically swap to 'blocked'. In Access Control, I set the Wireless TV and Xbox One to 'Allowed' Upon applying new setting, the status of the Extender automatically swaps to 'blocked' The Extender has a fixed IP address and the TV and Xbox have status IP addresses. We have other devices attached to our router and they are listed in the Access Control which do not seem to be affected, however, these few devices seem to be the ones with the issue of playing "Whack-a-mole" trying to keep them all set to "Allowed" at the same time. Is there a reason that the router's Access Control does not keep the "Allowed" status that I set? a conflict of some sort?70Views0likes8CommentsPower connector on Router very loose & disconnects internet frequently
I have a Nighthawk BE18000 WiFi 7 Tri-Band Router (RS600) - I bought it used on Amazon on July 23, 2025. This router was previous registered by a different owner. Looks like this router was released for sale in Sept 2024. The previous owner who returned it to Amazon registered (forgot to deregister) this in Oct 2024. So by the time I bought it in July 2025 - apparently the support had expired (no idea how the math works). When setting this up after i purchased this in July 2025, NETGEAR offered me complimentary support as I had issues setting this router up. Apparently that's expired too. Amazon was gracious enough to send me a new replacement router which I received today. Also on the my Netgear page it says the support expired on Your complimentary technical support expired on 2024-10-29. Your product hardware warranty expired on 2024-10-29 Registered on: 2025-07-24 (new owner -me) Purchased: 2024-10-29 (former owner) Here's what I am looking for - I need to deregister my existing product off Netgear ownership to me. Currently I have a Netgear Armor subscription I need to move to my new router which I am setting up now. If the router was released for sale in Sept 2024 how come the Complimentary Tech Support and Hardware warranty expire in a month???? Is this an error - if so is there a number I can call to get someone to answer the above and help move this forward. I love Netgear products but its getting increasingly difficult to get to understand hardware warranty and tech support expiry math. I've had this RS 600 and it's been terrible. Very inconsistent wifi speeds, I tried manually changing channels, and the 5g line kept dropping out. Then today, the entire router crashed and was down for 5 minutes during a critical internet call. I'm on an experimental firmware 1.0.5.113 I spent a LOT on this router to get something reliable... and so far, this is not being that.111Views0likes11CommentsSeeking update: client-side MLO on RS600 (Nighthawk WiFi 7)
Hi everyone, I'm trying to find out whether Multi-Link Operation (MLO) for client devices will be enabled on the RS600. I remember reading some comments about MLO coming to the RS700, but so far none of the RS600 firmware release notes (up to v1.0.5.12, Aug 2025) mention it. My support case #49306330 only yielded "no ETA". I have an RS600 running 1.0.5.12 here in France, and devices like the iPhone 17 Pro support Wi‑Fi 7 with MLO. Without MLO, a client can only use one band at a time, which limits throughput and increases latency. Competing vendors’ Wi‑Fi 7 routers (ASUS/TP‑Link) already support client MLO, and Netgear’s own Orbi 970 uses MLO on the backhaul. Is client-side MLO on the roadmap for RS600? If so, can Netgear give an approximate timeframe (beta or final)? It would be great if the RS600 could provide unified SSID MLO across 5 GHz and 6 GHz for devices that support it. Thanks!67Views1like1Comment
