Re: RS300 LAN Port Not Responding

Hello,

So I just started having this issue a couple days ago too.  I get a DNS not responding error from any website I try to visit including google.  A soft reset allows the LAN ports to work again but if I do a power on and power off the LAN ports do not work.  The router looks like it is working on the front panel with everything is green but nothing wired can connect to the internet.  However, all my Wi-Fi connections work.  I can connect though Wi-Fi on all my devices and they all work including the ones that were hard wired to the LAN ports.  I think this proves that my internet service provider's modem is working fine.  I did another soft reset to see what happens and yup the LAN ports all work again.  Tried another hard reset and yup all the LAN ports do NOT work again.  Looks like have to soft reset my RS300 every time this occurs.

Model is RS300 (Had it for almost 3 months now) Firmware version is 1.0.1.60

Cables are CAT6A STP

Wired devices are PC, PS5, and Nintendo Switch. All experience the same error are 3 different LAN ports.  Again all Wi-Fi connections seem to work including these three devices.

What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.

Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update?

What is the chipset brand and model # if the ethernet adapter in the one PC?

Yep. Tried a soft reset. Didn't work. Tried a hard reset. Didn't work. I had to change the DNS address to Google's address and it started working and haven't had a problem since 🤷🏻‍♂️. Didn't change a cable or connector so hardware was fine all around.
