Router DNS settings do nothing
Being able to set the default DNS for everyone in the house is extremely important. I set up my router to use Quad9 as the primary DNS; the setting does nothing. https://on.quad9.net/ says `No, you...
The router was not the problem.
`Google Chrome > ⋮ > ⚙ Settings > 🛡 Privacy and security > 🔒 Security > Select DNS provider` needs to be set to `OS default (when available)`.

Agreed. Chrome, FireFox, Safari, and Edge all can be set up to use different DNS from the OS (and therefore not the same as the router DNS config).
