RS300 Region Incorrect
Hi,
Just a quick question. I live in the continental US (WI). The region in the UI of the RS300 says CANADA and is greyed out and cannot be changed. When I got the router first thing was a manual FW upgrade to 1.0.0.38, factory reset using the reset button in the back, and set it up all manually.
Everything works fine. but is this a problem, are the radios (power,channels,etc) all the same CAN vs US, don't really want to return it. Curious if anyone else ran into this. This was ordered direct from netgear.com.

OK, if you purchased it from NETGEAR.com then I don't need to see the giftbox.
So that should be a mistake on the shipment, you can contact our customer support (1-866-534-9377) to replace it with a new one. If you run into problems with the support, please send me your case number through private message and I will look into it.

Hi Brian,
The only difference between Canada region and US region is the WiFi transmitting power for US is a bit higher than Canada for some 5GHz channels because of different regulation requirements between US/FCC and Canada/IC.
Where did you purchase the product? can you share a photo of the giftbox of the RS300? Thanks.

It was purchased 08July from Netgear.com directly, shipped from Netgear, City of Industry CA, and arrived 10July.
I am sorry, by giftbox, did you mean you just wanted a picture of the retail box?.
