RS500 drops wifi devices and ping issues
Have devices dropping wifi for no reason. I noticed while it is actively dropping, it will timeout while pinging its IP from another device on the network (not via wifi or rear wired).
Pinging 192.168.133.205 with 32 bytes of data
Request timed out.

Mode: access point
Running firmware 1.0.0.6 since new
Protection is turned off since initial setup
DNS is 8.8.8.8, 4.4.4.4, 1.1.1.1
Thought it may be the guest wifi so turned that off, was good for a month then started again.
Turned off logging today to see if that makes a difference. Heck what good is a log if there are no time entries?
Why does it show "Canada" as the region, not in Canada and greyed out and cannot change.
RS500 is about 2 months old, at the point where it gets tossed out the window...

A couple things.
1. not sure what you mean by showing canada. You don't have any photos attached to see what you're talking about.
2. In AP mode, the router is a simple switch. Something else on your network is handling dhcp/nat/routing.
3. You said its "not via wifi or wired". So how is it connected or what are you referring to with this? This isn't very clear what you mean or whats going on.

1. Advanced>Wireless setup> "Region selection" there is a greyed out drop down box which has "Canada" selected. Unable to change.
2. I know, I'm an IT guy.
3. I'm pinging the RS500 on my network from a pc directly plugged into my Firewall (not the back of the RS500). The RS500 has a wired connection to that same firewall. There should be no reason for the packet loss when pinging.
When this RS500 drops wifi, I try pinging it, that is when I see packet loss and hi ping times. Tried multiple ethernet cables, and a different firewall, so that isn't an issue. Try logging into the web interface while this is happening also results in very slow page loading.
1. might try upgrading. I don't even see a 1.0.0.6 that you have listed for firmware. the current version is 1.0.1.60 and the one before that 1.0.0.56. The current was was released Oct 23rd. With these newer BE routers, I'd recommend a factory reset with any firmware changes as some releases were pre-certification and some post.
2. whenever I see issues and 3rd party firewall is involved, I get really suspicious. I've used firewalls, piholes, and other servers on my networks and the more complications you add, the harder it is to troubleshoot and find where the issue is truly coming from.
3. Is there a router before that firewall? That you could connect the RS to and see if its the firewall blocking something?
