RS700 and Firmware
I should have saved my confirmation but I didn't. I recently got T-Mobile Metronet Fiber and turned out I has ti do a factory reset on my RS700to get it to work with the Fiber. I converted it fro...

RS700 running V1.0.11.6 - experienced duplicate IP addresses. I am sure this suggestion will sound as silly to you as it did to me - try re-flashing V1.0.11.6. Yes, sounds silly, but it resolved my problem with duplicate IP addresses. You must download the V1.0.11.6 FW from NG support site and apply the flash from the file using the UI instead of online (Advanced/Admin/Router Update/Manual tab -select the .chk file from the zip). Please update thread with your results. If it does resolve your problem, we should open a case on FW flash procedure. I have turned off "Auto FW Update" to avoid surprises.

What brand and model# is the ISP modem/ONT that the RS router is connected too?
What IP address is set on the RS router?
What brand and model# are these two devices that seem to have duplicate IP addresses?
For my RS700 thats online currently, its connected to a CM3000 cable modem and using 192.168.0.1 for it's address then using 192.168.100 thru .200 for it's default IP address pool size.
FW is current FW v1.0.11.6. Was manually updated then factory reset and setup from scratch.

The ONT is from TMobile Fiber and it's all enclosed so I'm not really sure what model that is.
I have a static IP address that I configured in the router. But I would exclude that because even before I put in the static IP address info and it was going off DHCP.
But I have the local LAN information using the DHCP in the router and that is/and was previously (when I was with Comcast) set to 192.168.0.1. I have my pool going from 2-254. Again, that was always like that as well - even when I was with Comcast.
Thanks for the info on the factory reset and setup from scratch. I setup a backup so I don't have to repeat all the configuration. (I just did that today actually).

I'd try a factory reset and setup from scratch with out a back up to see if issue continues.
What brand and model# are these two devices that seem to have duplicate IP addresses?
So the ONT is just a ONT or does it have a built in router that you know of?

The devices vary every time. Sometimes more than one duplicate.
Sometimes they are my wyze camera's, sometimes my Firewalla; basically, it varies every time. I had an issue with my SkyBell doorbell ip using the same ip from one of my laptops. The ipconfig on the laptop kept saying "Duplicate IP". I got that one worked out though every reboot something seems to be duplicated on the IP and the devices always vary.
But, no, the ONT, definitely does not. The tried to sell me one, a separate one, but I did not need it nor want it.- FURRYe38Jun 10, 2026Guru - Experienced User
You say you have a firewalla? Where is this connected? Between the ONT and RS or after RS? I presume it should be in between the ONT and RS Router.
You may need to power EVERY device OFF for 1 minute then power them back ON one at a time, checking the RS web page for newly connected devices with a ethernet PC and web browser to see them being connected on the Connected Devices web page.

Oh and by, the way, I have done like 4 factory resets and on the RS700 device already and reconfigured everything.
(Sorry, forgot to mention that.)
