Hi everyone, if some of your WiFi devices cannot connect to RS700 after the firmware is upgraded to v1.0.9.6, please let us know which WiFi devices they are (brand, model, and firmware / driver version if you know). We will see if we can find the same devices to test.
Also it is much appreciated if you are OK to run some trial firmare to see if that fixes the WiFi connection issues for you. Thank uou.

For me, it is not that there is a problem with devices connecting. They all connect fine. The problem is that the static IP addresses that were set with those devices along with the assigned MAC address and naming conventions randomly change without any user intervention. Ie, rebooting, etc. This happens when I am not even home or overnight when I am sleeping.
This becomes a problem for me as I have a pretty sophisticated smart home environment with several platforms, Ie, Apple HomeKit, Home Assistant, Homebridge, Smarthings, Hubitat, and Amazon Alexa. All of my hubs talk to each other locally via assigned IP addresses. When the IP addresses randomly change, the hubs no longer talk to each other and it brings down my smart home. The only way to temporarily remedy this is to reboot the router.
Additionally, even after uploading backups that were made before and after the firmware upgrade, they never load correctly where my static IP address assignments are back to the way they were. All other router functions are fine, speed, etc....
Yes, I am very willing to run some trial firmware.

By the way... I have logged this with Netgear support as I have contacted them. I have a case number

I am having the same issue with device names randomly changing. This is very annoying and it affects the home network as well as the time it takes to go back in and enter them again. This is a very unacceptable bug for a "high" end router especially with the price. I certainly expected more out of Netgear.

They are aware of it and are working on it. Been in contact with Netgear engineering. Not sure when the fix will be.
