RS700S V1.0,7,96_2.0.96 slows speed

Question

Hello again. I downloaded RS700S V1.0.7.96_2.0.96ck and as a result, my download and upload speeds slowed down. It continued even after I updated all drivers on my OS and reset my RS700S to factory specifications.

I had to roll back my RS700S firmware to 1.0.7.86 firmware before my download and upload speeds returned tp 1.25Gig speed.

Seems there is a problem with the latest V1.0,7,96 firmware.

Hello to all.I spoke with netgear yesterday, 01/28/2025 on how to update the download and upload speeds in netgear RS700S. Netgear had no answer.&nbsp;Well, I figured out why. To update download and upload speeds, you sign in to 192.168.1.1.&nbsp;Then select QoS. To update the download and upload speeds, you must first turn on QoS. Then run speedtest,then Apply. Now you can turn off QoS if you want. I should have done that before calling Netgear.&nbsp;&nbsp;Thanks, Matt

I had to enable QoS before I could update download and upload speeds in 192.168.1.1.I had to roll back the new firmware V1.0.7.96 because it was slowing my internet speed.&nbsp;

Did you try a factory reset and setup from scratch when v1.0.7.96 was loaded?&nbsp;
Was Protection Engine enabled at the time?&nbsp;

Hello. Yes, I did a factory reset while having V1.0.7.86.&nbsp; Then I installed V1.0.7.96 firmware and did a factory reset again. But my speeds slowed down and fluctuated. So, I rolled back to V1.0.7.86, did a factory reset and my speeds returned to 1250 and 1260Mbps.&nbsp;&nbsp;Thanks, Matt
