Slow Upload Speeds…
After going through SSID issues, I have a working RS500 with amazing download speeds - BUT…. Upload speeds of 5 to 6 Mbps.
My RS500 is connected directly to the ONT, a Verizon FIOS Alcatel I-211M-L.
I saw some say the resolution for them was to upgrade the ONT to a 2GB service - which I am actually happy to do as it will benefit what I do at work - but I’d like to get a feel for is this a solution or is the RS500 just going to be a pain and I need to consider a different router?
Anyone else running a RS500 and FIOS with good upload speed?
Thank you everyone.

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem/ONT and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.Check the Connection rates seen between the RS and ONT and with a wired PC connected on the RS web page under Advanced tab/Show Stats.
Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router and satellite(s) been performed since last update?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
Turn off and unplug modem.
Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on computers and rest of network.
Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed? A complete pull of the power adapters from the ONT and RS for a period of time after the factory reset then walk thru the setup wizard and setup from scratch with a wired PC and web browser. https://kb.netgear.com/22697/How-do-I-install-my-NETGEAR-router-using-the-router-web-interfaceSpeed test with a wire connected PC to the back of the RS router using Ooklas installable speed test app.
Also test with a 2nd PC for comparison.
if you direct connect that same pc to the ONT, what speeds do you get?

Regarding the slow upload speed issue, especially when the RS router is connected to an ONT, we have a trial firmware build that may resolve the issue. It worked in our test.
If you would like to give it a try, please let me know your RS router model and I will PM you the firmware.
Thanks.
