Yeah, we need to know
- what the router model it is (RS700, RS600, or RS500)?
- which channel is set to/operating on?
- and how did you check the bandwidth?
For the 5GHz band on RS700, RS600, RS500, RS200: "Up to 5.8Gbps" can operate in the 160MHz, and "Up to 2.9Gbps" can operate only up to 80MHz (is not supposed to oeprate in the 160MHz).
For the RS300 and RS100, "Up to 2.9Gbps" can operate in the 160MHz.
==> This is due to they have different number of streams for the 5GHz band.
From the router's management Web GUI,
- BASIC tab / Wireless menu: Wireless Settings | Channel under the 5GHz --> it shows the operation channel set for the 5GHz band.
- ADVANCED dashboard / Wireless Settings (5.0GHz) tile --> the Channel there shows the actual channel currently the 5Ghz is operating on.
