Hi Brian:

yes - the user I am trying to add to another folder is already on the cloud user list displayed under the manage screen. They have read / write access to the folder they were originally entered on.

I now want to give them access to another folder.

I can attach a screen shot of the manage page - but not sure it is going to tell you a lot, other than they are in the list.

Hi:

the version is 6.3.5 runnng on a brand new rn204 - 3 hard drives

  If the invited user is already able to access the files, it should show on user listing when you share a share folder, you should be able to see an option to permit it with read only or read/write access like the image below.

    thank you for expaining that in simple terms.... it is a pity that the documentation cannot do that as well ... would save a lot of time and effort.
    
    it seems obvious when explained - but not so when scratching around in the dark.
