New RN42400, can I load my old RN314 drives directly?
Hi All, Received an RN42400 (diskless) ReadyNAS, was thinking about swapping my RN314 disks into it. Believe the RN424 is newer (faster??), maybe better performance. Is it possible to simply move...

Nevermind, "figured it out"... sorta. All I did was force a reboot, this time unit came up recognizing the volume and all the files. So I guess the lesson is - when you swap disks, and device goes through a complete cycle... then cycle the unit once more for the volume to be properly read. At least on this RN42400 box.

Thanks StephenB , worked and actually automatically updated to latest 6.10.8 plus latest antivirus.
However, now it doesn't seem to know the volume(s) I had on the drives. Pictures attached show what I now see. Not sure what to do next?

RN314 was in XRAID mode, so I believe there was only one volume. I never made multiple volumes.

The second re-boot can be necessary if the OS versions don't match. On the first boot, it updates so that the version in flash and on the drives match.
