ReadyCLOUD PC app - can't open in Windows 7 pro 64 bit
I have downloaded the ReadyCLOUD PC application for Windows and have installed, uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. I've tried doing so with my AVG Internet Security turned on and turned off...

The problem is not AVG or Windows firewall. All ReadyCLOUD services and EXE files are "allowed" for both and I've tried installing without AVG (it's not my first rodeo). From my research, I'm not the only one with Windows 7 Pro having problems. The program shows in my task manager, and also when I press Alt&Tab, but the interface is not there.
Lastly, you moved my message from the backup section of the forum. It's my understanding that the RaedyCLOUD app is needed in order to run the ReadyNAS backup solution (I don't want to run Windows backup). I can always use a workaround to view my files through a browser, but the backup solution I can't so I wish you would not have moved it.

No, that is not the case. The built-in backup jobs do not use readycloud, and can back up shared windows folders on the local LAN.

that being said, it still doesn't fix the ReadyCLOUD app. the interface still will not open after numerous attempts to uninstall and reinstall.

You are not alone tkernaghan. I too installed ReadyCloud on Windows 7 Pro X64 and it refuses to open even though as you say, the process is evident in the Task Manager. My firewall/AV isn't blocking this program either. This seems to be buggy software for those of us on Windows X64 and there are a growing number that are, so hope Netgear takes a look into this and finds the problem so we can use it too... even though this is my first rodeo when it comes to using this software, I do know when something is amiss.

I also have the same problem. I have installed ReadyCloud on my PC and on my iPhone. The iPhone app works perfectly. When I try to run on my PC, I am told my router/hard drdive is offline. Has anyone made the connection on a Windows 7 x64 machine?
