Readynas 102 adding a second disc
Hi
I have a readynas with 2TB disc, im ran out of memory and bought a 2 disc with 3TB. I dont want redundance only expanding the memory so i get one big 5TB partion OR two disc 2TB+3TB.
Im had x-raid activated and put in the new disc. Now I only get redundance.
What to do now?

You should have read the manual.
Prior to adding the second HDD, you should have disabled XRAID.
Now the damage is done, you can't go back. You need to backup your data, destroy the volume, recreate the way you want and reimport.
Alternatively, you could turn off XRAID, remove the new HDD, format it in a PC, reinsert it in the NAS, create a new volume onto it, transfer the data from the degraded RAID1 to the new volume, destroy the degraded RAID1 and recreate a second volume. Do this at your own risks, if you have understood the instructions.
