ReadyNAS not able to connect to Readycoud
Hi, I'm not able to connect my ReadyNAS to Readycloud. If I go to "cloud" page while administrating the ReadyNAS, and switch on "ReadyCloud" service, it gives me an error: "Something is preventing th...

We had an issue with the ReadyCLOUD server two weeks ago but that was already fixed. In most cases, you need to reboot the NAS to reconnect to ReadyCLOUD. Are you still not able to connect to ReadyCLOUD?

Hello,
I'm still not able to login. Now, when I'm trying to switch on the RadyCloud service under "cloud" pane in "admin" page of NAS, I get the error: "Something is preventing the ReadyNAS from connecting to ReadyCloud server. Please reboot your ReadyNAS and try again". I have tried to reboot but its the same issue. So basically the ReadyCloud service is "off".
But I have cloud users showing under the "account" pane. If I try to remove the cloud user here, I get this error" This device is joined to ReadyCloud. To remove a user, visit ReadyCloud." I'm confused now as the ReadyCloud service is OFF, so I don't how the NAS is connected to the cloud?
Please help. Thanks!

Just to add, our ISP is using NAT firewall to shield us from outside network. So my IP address will not be visible to the outside world. I hope that's not a problem?

The service might be dysfunctional, but it isn't OFF unless you turned it off.
Not being in ReadyCloud is quite different from not being able to connect.

This all suggests that the ReadyCloud service was working properly before. Is that the case? If so, did something change in your local network?
Also, what firmware is your NAS running?
One thing that sometimes helps is to add 8.8.8.8 to the NAS DNS server list (on the NAS network configuration page). 8.8.8.8 is the public Google DNS server.
NAT shouldn't be a problem, but you can try forwarding the readycloud port in your router to the NAS. The default port is 6300.

Firmware is latest: 6.9.4
DNS is all set. Google DNS is also set correctly.
And yes, REadycloud was working fine previously. For the change, I move it to Work network from Home. At home, there was only my personal NAT firewall from the router where I have opened the port. At work, we are behind another firewall and created a private network using the same router as was at home. Maybe that's the case? But is there a way to reset the NAS for ReadyCloud? NAS may be remembering the settings from previously.

Check that port 6300 is actually open using http://www.canyouseeme.org/ on a PC that is connected to the same router the NAS is connected to.
