"Sorry, we didn't recognize either your User Name or Password..."
I am trying to log in to my ReadyNAS device and am receiving an error message that makes no sense at all. I know my User Name is correct as I can log in to my Netgear account with it and see the products I have registered. However, when I try to log in to ReadyCLOUD it tells me that my User Name or Password is not recognised. Since I wasn't 100% sure that my password was correct, I requested a Password Reset and successfully reset it. However, the ReadyCLOUD is still giving me this message. I tried looking on this forum and saw a similar pattern that was caused by a server problem at your end on October 9th, but that case was closed, hence my reason for creating a new thread.
Any suggestions will be very gratefully received!
Best regards, Stuart St.John
The NAS admin username is always admin, and it cannot be changed.
If you do an OS reinstall from the front panel (not the same as a factory reset), then the IP configuration is reset to dhcp, and the admin password is reset back to the factory value. On the RN102, that is "password".

Have you tried rebooting your NAS?
If you login to the local admin page what do you see on the CLOUD tab?- StuStJohnAspirant
Ah, yes...
I have rebooted the NAS several times. The problem with logging in to the NAS is that I can't remember the password! Will the User Name and Password combination be the same as the ones I originally used for my Netgear website Log In, or could they be something entirely different?!
If it turns out that the NAS username/password is separate and I cannot remember it, what are my options?! When I upgraded my computer I thought that I had backed up everything (e-mails, pictures, etc.) but the one thing I had not done was backup the log in/password - these days on a home PC you tick the "remember this password" box and then don't type it any more and consequently forget the wretched thing! (At least at work I have to keep typing my passwords so they get engrained in my brain...)
Once again, any more help very gratefully received!
Thanks,
Stuart.
