Addons on R6
Hello
Because it was disclosed most of you can installl addons without going on Genie, perhaps because you have R6 on old X86 Nases or for some other reasons.
Please Guys, Note that Whocares and me spend a lot of time working on those addons to make them work correctly on the new R6 firmware (New SDK, new problem, new desing ...) so it was for us a long run, not always easy. So if you like our addons please think on a donation.
Hope you will like all the new addons we have made.
I don't know on my side what will be Genie in the future, if everyone will use and like R6, but it's clear if genie is not used and the trick to bypass genie is used by everyone without return, I will think on finding a new way to provide addons. Please note, that I'm not a big fan of Genie, but that's the way Netgear ask us to provide addons. Please also note, so it will be clear that the price you see in Genie, it not the amount of money I will have in my pocket, Netgear take a part of it.
I never have done addons for money, but it's more and more time consuming , I consider donation as a "Thank you, continue your work" message. (Addons are done on free time)
Enjoy the addons, Enjoy the readynas

Ya, it does some sanity checks on boot, and fixes permissions on core directories like this.tiranor wrote: I just checked, it didn't survive the reboot, the symlink isn't there anymore, and i have a "new" /tmp folder. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredMy last post explains how to change where Plex stores its temporary downloaded files. I haven't checked to see if it survives an update of the add-on

Thanks that did the trick!!!!!!!!! But for some that are not tech savy to SSH and create the directory still will have the issue until Plex addresses the issue.
Thanks - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredYou shouldn't need to create the directory manually, I think (though I haven't checked). Plex should attempt to create it automatically if it doesn't exist, I would think.
It looks like before this thread existed this issue had already been discussed in the PlexPass section of the Plex forums. - GovnahAspirantI just assumed you would but you are probably correct once you specify the path under settings for Plex the dir would be created.
Anyone have a guess on when 6.05 will be released? - chirpaLuminaryThe list of people affected by the uninstall bug is growing daily. Darth Vader, any feedback yet?
- chrheiLuminaryMay I ask you to upgrade phpsysinfo_3.1.7_all.deb to version 3.1.8? THX.
- veenarmAspirantinstalled uTorrent, restarted etc but everytime I try to setup 'remote acecss' i get Registration Failed - can't seem to find any logs for it other than this line Jan 02 19:37:23 Redwood-NAS apache2[2353]: [warn] [client 192.168.0.2] mod_auth_token: failed token auth (got '', uri '/dbbrokerln/'), referer: http://readycloud.netgear.com/client/index.html
