Built in AntiVirus is a MESS
Since the built in backup facility in the readynas does not support volume snapshots, I have been trying to use windows backup on my client machines to accomplish backups. I have been trying 2 differe...
There still is the option of using another antivirus like clamav but that will be via SSH with no frontend and I believe the footprint will be greater.
The antivirus provided by Netgear is not a homegrown product, it's from commtouch/cyren.
Actually I'm running both snapshots and antivirus (even compression, yep I'm seeking trouble ;) ) with 6.1.6RC10 and this works fine. I don't use the provided backup feature though.
