Cannot update or uninstall applications after update to 6.5.0 RN104
Since updating to 6.5.0 (all went smoothly and have rebooted a couple of times) I am unable to update or remove Anti-Virus Plus 2.02 and I am unable to launch or remove Transmission for readynas v3.0...

HI, thanks for your email.
The bug is that apps installed with earlier versions of the OS cannot be unistalled with 6.5.0.
The bug still exists however I resolved my issue.
This is how I resolved my issue and isolated the problem - hope this helps:
1. About an hour ago I rolled the firmware back to OS Version 6.4.2, then tried to unistall Transmission 3.00.8 - unsuccessfully.
2. Then I tried to uninstall Antivirus Plus - successfully.
3. Then I tried to uninstall Transmission again and this time it was successfull.
4. I then updated the firmware to 6.5.0 successfully.
5. And reinstalled the two apps successfully.
6. I was then able to unistall and reinstall Transmission 3.00.8 successfully.

That code doesn't work.
I guess it did fix it but you were a bit impatient and that you have now turned off Secure Diagnostic Mode.

Hi bigstu_,
Thanks for posting back and giving us more indepth information about this issue. Anyway, aside from AV plus have you tried other add-ons to see if the issue was really fixed?
Kind regards,

We do mention in the Release Notes that you shouldn't downgrade to 6.4.2 after upgrading to 6.5.0. What you did may have worked for you, but it's not a recommended method to try and fix problems.

Thanks for the advice about rolling the firmware back to an earlier version.
I hadn't read the advice that this wasn't recommended.
However I did realise that I was probably rolling the dice.
Fortunately it turned out ok this time.

Hi there, after performing the steps to fix that I described above, I installed and unistalled the following apps:
1. Anti-virus Plus (as mentioned)
2. Transmission for ReadyNas v3.00.8 by Poussin
3. Ajaxplorer
4. CouchPotato2
Hope this helps.
