Compatibility between PHP7 and MySQL 1.0.5 for Joomla! setup

I currently have a ReadyNAS 516 and wish to install Joomla! 3.9. I have completed all of the steps to do so using PHP7.4, PHPMyAdmin 4, and MySQL 1.0.5. However, after installation when I go to use the Joomla! software I get a message "Error" on a page after I try and to logon to Joomla! as an administrator. Funnily enough, the default templates for Joomla! runs on the chosen website but I cannot manage to get past the login as an admistrator due to this "Error" that comes up - unfortuantely there is no other information on this page.

Has anyone else managed to run the latest version of Joomla! using the chosen versions of PHP and MySQL?

I was wondering as to whether PHP7.4 and MySQL 1.0.5 are compatible?

Any assistance would be appreciated, thanks!
