That still didn't work.. I hear read some where if I reload the firemare that might do the trick.. but I'm worry if I do that I would reformate the drive and lose everything

Hello porkii,
Re-uploading the firmware to admin page won't lead to data loss, not even OS reinstall unless performed incorrectly.

You'll find the firmware download here: http://kb.netgear.com/31221/ReadyNAS-OS-6-Software-Version-6-6-0 You want the "arm" link. Download the zip file file, and extract the img file from the zip.
Then install that img file using the instructions on page 202 of the manual: http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/READYNAS-100/READYNAS_OS_6_SM_EN.pdf The section title is "Update Firmware Without Direct Internet Access"
