Help with Twonky versions
I am using Twonky 7.0.11 from Super Poussin. When the NAS boots, it does not start and I have to enable it manually from the addons page.
I've been digging into /etc/frontview/services to try to understand. There is a TWONKY_SUPPORT=1, but no TWONKY=1. Is this flag needed for a service to show as enabled and to start after boot.
I've seen various mentions of a later twonky 7.2 or 3. I have downloaded 7.3 from Twonky's website, but can I run this on my Ultra 2 Plus?
Are there any simple instructions on upgrading from 7.0.11 to 7.3 and can I get to a working state where Twonky will restart when my NAS powers on each day?
There seems to be so little documentation on what to do...

- adb1AspirantWell I set TWONKY=1 into /etc/default/services and rebooted and finally it shows as enabled and therefore starts.
Odd that running.sh does not cause the green icon to show although it does exit with status 1.
Any help on versions would be appreciated. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredYes the TWONKY=1 tells the NAS to start the service on boot. Not sure why that line was missing.
Not sure what's needed to update. It could be as simple as installing the new add-on over the top of the old one. - super_poussinVirtuosolast version is 7.2.8

will check if I can upgrade my version - super_poussinVirtuosobecause you are lucky guys 7.2.8 is in my dropbox in community section under x86 4.2 directory

I installed it but it won't start. Running it manually I get
surire:/usr/local/TwonkyVision# /usr/local/TwonkyVision/twonkyserver -- -appdata "/c/twonkymedia"
Twonky Version 7.2.8
For image conversion and scaling the TwonkyServer utilizes ImageMagick. For details on the license please see /usr/local/TwonkyVision/cgi-bin/convert-readme.txt
No personal TLS certificate found in /c/twonkymedia/tls.pem! Will use built-in keys (this is insecure)! You have been warned ...
libgcc_s.so.1 must be installed for pthread_cancel to work
Aborted
Checking the libs, I noticed that ldd on 7.0.11 showstwonkyserver:
linux-gate.so.1 => (0xffffe000)
libpthread.so.0 => /lib/libpthread.so.0 (0xf76fb000)
libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0xf75bd000)
/lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0xf771a000)
but on 7.2.8 it showstwonkyserver:
linux-vdso.so.1 => (0x00007fffb091f000)
libpthread.so.0 => /lib64/libpthread.so.0 (0x00007effd0f7d000)
libc.so.6 => /lib64/libc.so.6 (0x00007effd0c0c000)
/lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2 (0x00007effd1199000)
I don't appear to have a libgcc_s.so.1 in /lib64, although there is on in /lib. I tried a symlink, but no luck.
Any ideas?
Cheers
Antony
