HikVision Compatability
Hi there, I've seen quite a few cameras listed for HikVision. My concern is the resolution listed for them. I have 2 DS-2CD3132-I (effectively the same product as DS-2CD2312-I) and they are 3MP...
After discussions with the ReadyNAS Surveillance team, I tested the outputs from the camera (record from Livestream) and then from the RNS playback saving as an AVI.
I can confirm that the video output is not downscaled, or anything. ReadyNAS Surveillance does indeed appear to record the raw data from the camera. Even though my camera is not listed in the compatibility list, I can confirm that it recorded at 2MP (30fps) - I didn't record at 3MP as the fps is too slow for where I am setting it up.
I've been told that they will be reviewing the compatibility list soon and I expect there'll be a lot of changes to the HikVision segment. :)
